Some might wonder if Schema is more important than SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and vice versa. While neither are right, they aren't necessarily wrong. In fact, they both work hand in hand because without SEO your Schema won't be found, and without Schema, Search Engines will not display your content as a "rich result."
What is 'Schema' and Why is it Important?
In order to understand what content is on your page, Search Engines use a tool called Schema. This is so they can accurately show visitors snippets of what they could be looking for.
As an example, when filling out a page for dog sitting services, we ensure that all of the relevant information, such as prices and service information, is on the page so the Search Engines can preview it! Having such information available will result your webpage to appear as a rich, informational result allowing for higher traffic.
'Schema' Your Way to the Top!
For this UnoCMS update, we've included a new way to include Schema information for the videos on your page! Simply click on your video and scroll to the "Schema" section. From there, you'll fill out the information such as the description so you can start getting noticed!
We've also included a few new features that will generate the Schema information automatically for you in your blog posts and your UnoCMS-powered native, digital store! That means you only need to create a new blog post or entry to your store and our new Schema feature takes it from there!
