What is Productive Sites?

Productive Sites is an award-winning web application for designing, maintaining and hosting impressive customer-ready web sites.

Who is it for?

Productive Sites is great for all businesses, large and small, but works best for beginners. It enables you to create and maintain a solid web presence where you are in control of the content.

What limitations do I have when building my website?

Each new version brings in new features which are automatically integrated into your website. Currently we do not support the following capabilities:

There is no option for simultaneous editing of the same content by several users.

There are no different administrative access levels, approval work flow and history of changes.

There isn't an integrated shopping cart system with online credit card processing. But you can seamlessly integrate shopping cart and buy-now buttons through E-junkie, PayPal, 2CheckOut, Google Checkout and all merchant tools that allow for HTML script integration.

You can't use the tool as a general hosting solution - we don't offer FTP, SSH or ability to run custom scripts. We provide instead an integrated platform where you can build web sites without any need of FTP, SSH or scripting knowledge.

You need to be connected to the internet in order to edit your site.

Can I add files to my site with FTP?

Unfortunately, we do not currently support FTP. In order to allow people without technical skills the ability to create feature-rich web sites we have chosen to concentrate of other aspect of the tool which does not include FTP-based hosting.

Can I change the size, font and color of text?

The font, color and size of the predefined text styles have been carefully selected to match the feel and look concept of each particular design. The fixed number of styles ensures flawless migration between the different designs and therefore, most designs do not have the option to change the text styles. Some of the advanced designs, however, feature an extended set of font themes as well as the ability to upload your own CSS. Advanced users may also change the text styles using the HTML Snippet option.

Can I have my website hosted under my own domain?

Yes, you can have your site displayed under your own registered domain. Visitors browsing the site will see your domain in the address bar on any page of the site. For further details on this, please refer to the Support section on our Productive Sites site.

Can I integrate an application which requires installation of PHP, ASP or other scripts on my site?

No, you may only integrate applications which require that you add a small piece of code to your website. You may integrate such applications using the HTML Snippet.
