If your domain is NOT currently configured to use our Name Servers, you MUST update them manually before JUNE 20, 2013.

You may contact your domain registrar or I.T. vendor and ask for assistance in making the following changes before JUNE 20, 2013:
A-Records must be assigned to I.P.

You may also provide us with the information needed to login to your domain registrar account and weʼll make the changes for you. To do so, you MUST use this form: https://support.productiveit.com/submitticket.php?step=2&deptid=18. Please be sure to include your Registrarʼs name (GoDaddy or Network Solutions for example) along with your accountʼs username & password so that we will be able to login to your Registrarʼs control panel and make the necessary changes to your domain on your behalf. Requests submitted on or before June 15th will be made free of charge!

Recent Devastation in Oklahoma

Posted by on Friday, May 24, 2013

With all of the recent devastation of tornados in Oklahoma, we would like to take a moment to let you know how important it is to have a storm shelter for your home or community. Lake Martin Storm Shelters is a wonderful resource for different types of storm shelters and safe rooms for a range of budgets. They are also a good resource for tornado statistics and links on FEMA help. For instance, did you know:

"A recent study comparing the number of tornadoes over the last 30 years found that the number of confirmed tornadoes in the last decade has doubled compared to the previous 2 decades. Some of the increase in the number of reported and confirmed tornadoes is likely due to several factors, including an increase in population, better technology, trained storm spotters, and better informed citizens.

More importantly, Alabama experiences more tornado related fatalities than any other state, and ranks fifth in the number of “killer tornadoes” when compared to other states. According to Storm Prediction Center records, between 1980 and 2009, Alabama experienced 38 killer tornadoes, which resulted in 165 fatalities."

If you don’t have a shelter, be sure to check out the Lake Martin Storm Shelters website for more information.

We here at Productive I.T. would also like to encourage you to help the victims in Oklahoma in one of the following ways:

American Red Cross: The Red Cross is providing shelter, food and relief supplies. You can donate directly to the Red Cross Disaster Relief online or by texting “REDCROSS” to 90999. (Texting a donation to the Red Cross or any of the following organizations will charge $10 to your cellphone plan.) They are also encouraging donors to give blood at their local hospital or blood bank.

Salvation Army: The Salvation Army’s disaster response units plans on serving three meals a day in the areas hardest hit by the tornado. You can donate online or by texting “STORM” to 80888.

Feed the Children: The Oklahoma City-based children’s advocacy group is collecting monetary donations to support tornado relief. Donations can be made online; according to Feed the Children, $50 will buy 375 pounds of relief supplies.

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster: The two local organizations are soliciting donations for joint clean-up efforts. You can contribute online or by texting “FOOD” to 32333.

Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief: This local organization is distributing food and as well as aiding in clean-up. While it says “monetary donations are the best help at this point,” it is also accepting bottled water, flashlights, batteries, non-perishable food and some other supplies at collection centers in Oklahoma.

Prayer: Pray for strength for those that lost loved ones, pray for dedication for victims to get back on their feet, pray for the medical personal working to save lives, pray for compassion of construction companies to not take advantage of victims, and pray for the area as a whole as they heal.

This great infographic from TheBootstrappersGuide.com shows why having a mobile version (whether separate or as part of a responsive layout) of your website is so important. More and more people are looking for information about your company or services with their cell phone...or maybe even just your phone number. A mobile site downloads quicker, has less extraneous information to search through, and makes the user experience that much better. Check out some of the interesting facts in the graphic below and then let us explain how we can make your website mobile-friendly.
